Environmental data collection

We help imagine, build, and deploy flexible, affordable, and reliable bespoke environmental data collection systems. We are a pioneer in collecting sensor data with distributed, off-grid mesh networks. Likewise, we have proven expertise in validation, calibration and data processing of large-scale datasets, ensuring smoothly running sensor deployments.

We have broad experience collecting environmental data with affordable and open-source tools, particularly in the field of air quality. We are an independent organisation that proudly contributes to the Smart Citizen and Meshtastic projects, collaborating closely with both research institutions and universities, and the private sector to develop research grade tools to monitor the environment. In addition we have experience working with biodiversity monitoring tools, including camera traps and sound monitoring (such as BirdNet).

In a nutshell

We develop tools for both Citizen Science, as well as research grade and industrial sensing. Our collective experience includes participation in numerous R&D projects, including HORIZON and Erasmus+ projects, as well as work for national and local research funds in Spain and Barcelona.

Proud contributors to Meshtastic

We are proudly among the first contributors of air quality metrics to the Meshtastic open-source ecosystem within Meshtastic Telemetry modules.

Our broad experience in sensing projects helps us bring the possibility to collect environmental data and air pollution metrics such as Particulate Matter (PM), chemical pollutants, CO2, among many others to mesh networks.
